About me

I'm Amadee Stenzel. I study journalism at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane Australia and you guessed it, I'm an aspiring journalist. I've always been interested in journalism, it's a career path that defines a large portion of who I am. I've written a post on my dream career which you can access here.

Despite my career goals influencing a big part of my life, it's not the only thing that defines me. One thing that does come to mind in relation to who I am is my love of the creative industries.

I've always been a creative person, I was even the visual arts captain in high-school. My favourite way to creatively express myself is through photography. I'm a no-fuss kind of person and photos are a zero-mess art form that I've always been intrigued by. The above photo is a play on an art installation I based off movement a few years ago. It represents me and what I want to do with my life simply because it's not serious. It's a fun photo that I enjoyed taking and that's how I want to look at my future. I don't want to get lost in an area of work I wouldn't be able to express myself.

Much like photography, writing is an extension of my creativity and I enjoy creating blogs and the content for them. This blog in particular is a representation of me and my career aspirations as a women's lifestyle journalist. The type of content I intend to post will reflect different topics of interest to women with topics ranging from beauty to art and music. For more specified content, I operate a beauty and fashion blog which you can access here.

My blog is called 'Amadee May' because that's what I'd like to brand myself as. Amadee May is my first and middle name, it's the only two names that are completely my own.  I use Amadee May on my other blog as well because I wanted to link the two. I'm proud of the time and effort I put into my initial blog and I plan on continuing to market myself as 'Amadee May' rather than 'Amadee Stenzel'. This distinction is how I plan to represent myself in my own way.
